Poker Stars
Poker Stars is one of the newer entries to the online poker scene, but it has quickly evolved into a healthy sized poker room with between 5,000 and 20,000 players online at any time. By taking the game seriously and offering strong customer support a lot of aspiring poker players have elected to play here, and it has done so in a short period of time.
Good things about Poker Stars include the choice of 6 and 10 seat tables, tournament tables for 2,4,6,8, and 18 players, useful statistics available during the game, the ability to create avatars using your own pictures, and features that other poker rooms don't give players (such as player to player transfers). While tournament play is as good as is advertised the tournament play is no better than that offered by other poker rooms.
Bad things about Poker Stars include graphics that don't look all that good and "choppy" animations, and sound effects that could use some work. The games play a little slow compared to those offered at other rooms, and the table maximums are a little low at the high end (this will not be a problem for most players, but significantly higher table maximums are available at other poker rooms).
Poker Stars while an O.K. poker room is not the best online poker room available and is not recommended for players new to online poker.
