True Poker
Since 2001 True Poker has been offering poker players Texas Hold'em and Omaha poker but still retains a low profile in the online poker room world. The site offers no-cost downloads of its poker game software package. This game software is complete, offering players a choice of 3D characters to represent them at the table as well as rich graphics representing the room and real-time chat for the players. This poker playing presentation and an available tutorial have won True Poker its share of fans who think it's a fun place to learn and practice playing hold'em poker.
True Poker only offers Texas Hold'em and Omaha poker at this time but does offer a good range of table limits for players, True Poker also offers tutorials for those learning or wishing to improve their poker game. Players looking for low-limit Texas or Omaha hold'em games are usually in luck, but except at peak times may have difficulty finding a higher limit game.
Tournament play at True Poker is better than at some poker rooms, but its smaller player base can be problematic. While True Poker offers single table tournaments a majority of players seem to want multi-table tournament play, thus players wanting higher stakes games may have to wait due to a smaller player base.
The overall impression of the True Poker site is that it is a fun place to play entry level poker. But a lack of game options, and a smaller player base that make it more difficult to find a higher limit game during slow periods must be kept in mind.
